Caring For Your Fiberglass Planter

Your planters are finished with an automotive paint that offers many advantages including UV resistance and can withstand extreme conditions. While our top coat paint used is very durable, storing planters in wet or steamy cartons or standing water can cause damage to the finish. Normal use allowing water to immediately drain o the finish after installation will not cause any harm.

Cleaning

Fiberglass planters require very little maintenance to keep their beauty. All planters, regardless of glossy or matte finishes, can be cleaned with normal household cleaning products. We recommend dishwashing soap and avoiding the following: solutions that contain bleach, power washing, steel wool or other abrasives that may scratch your planter.

Polish

Your fiberglass planter surface is comparable to a boat or car. On gloss finishes, polishing with an automotive or marine wax annually will enhance the look of your planter and will help protect the surface, especially in extreme weather climates. We do not recommend wax products on matte finishes unless specifically formulated.

Maintenance

Mild scuff marks and scratches on glossy finishes can often be buffed out. We offer touch up paint kits for nicks and scratches.
